Channel 5 Television

City of Longview Channel 5 is designed to inform citizens of news and events related to City government and offers many programs and videos. All programs on Channel 5 are also available for checkout in the Longview Public Library, 222 W. Cotton St.

Programming
You can view Longview City Council meetings, board/commission meetings, news conferences and special events both live and videotaped on Channel 5.

City Council Meetings*
Live coverage of Longview City Council meetings airs at 5:30 p.m. the second and fourth Thursday of each month. City Council meetings and worksessions are held in City Hall Council Chambers, 300 W. Cotton St. (unless posted otherwise).
*City Council meetings will be rebroadcast at 6:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 10:30 p.m. and 3 a.m. for one week after original broadcast.

"Living in Longview"
"Living In Longview" is an interview program designed to inform citizens about City of Longview government. Each show focuses on a specific topic, including upcoming City events or current issues within the municipal government. The program is hosted by City employees, Willie Marshall and Mary Ann Miller. Each show will feature a City employee knowledgeable in the particular area of discussion.

News Conferences
City of Longview news conferences held in the City Council Chambers are broadcast on City of Longview Channel 5 Television. Notice of these broadcasts will be on Channel 5 and the City of Longview Website.

Special Events
Special events are shown as scheduled. Notice of these broadcasts will also be on the Longview Channel 5 Television and the City Website.

Announcements and Information Screens
Channel 5 Television displays announcements of current information about City government, services, and events. Active announcement slides can be viewed online on the Channel 5 Television Website.
