District 1 Town Meeting Scheduled for February 5
(Longview, TX) Mayor Jay Dean and District 1 Councilman John Sims have scheduled a Town Meeting for 7 p.m., Tuesday, February 5, at Greggton United Methodist Church, 1101 Pine Tree Road. Those attending the event are encouraged to enter on Spring Street.
Town Meetings are an excellent opportunity for citizens and council members to discuss issues facing the community within a casual setting. All citizens are encouraged to attend and share concerns, comments and ideas. Attendance at Town Meetings is open to residents from throughout the community, but primary focus will be placed on the concerns of District 1.
Town meetings are scheduled for each Longview City Council District in 2013. The following schedule is subject to change. Locations to be determined.
• District 1 on Tuesday, February 5, 2013
• District 2 on Tuesday, April 2, 2013
• District 3 on Tuesday, June 4, 2013
• District 4 on Tuesday, August 6, 2013
• District 5 on Tuesday, October 1, 2013
• District 6 on Tuesday, December 3, 2013
