2012 Water Quality Report Released

Public Works

The Annual Water Quality Report for 2012 detailing information from the previous year is now available. Copies are mailed to water customers and are also available at City Hall and online.

Holiday Closing for Memorial Day Weekend

City of Longview offices will be closed Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day. Trash will not be collected and buses will not run on Monday. Library will be closed all weekend.

Longview Hosts Hall of Fame Fastpitch Softball Tournament

The City of Longview and Texas ASA District 34 will host the 2013 Texas Amateur Softball Association (ASA) Hall of Fame Fastpitch Softball Tournament on May 24 – 26.

Longview Fireworks Show Adds Concert and Festival

Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex

Longview’s annual 4^th of July Fireworks and Freedom Celebration is expanding this year to include a concert and festival with activities for the whole family throughout the day. The event is scheduled for Thursday, July 4, 2013, at the Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Complex.

The author of Gone at 3:17: The Untold Story of the Worst School Disaster in American History, David M. Brown, will discuss his book at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 29, at the Longview Public Library, 222 W. Cotton St.
