Celebrate with the biggest fireworks show in East Texas!

Fireworks and Freedom CelebrationThe City of Longview's annual Fireworks and Freedom Celebration will be held on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Join us at the Longview Convention Complex for a free concert and the biggest fireworks show in East Texas! The concert begins at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. 

Enjoy a free concert on the live music stage featuring Marc Broussard at 8 p.m. and Ryan Matthew as the opening act at 6:30 p.m.  Bring a chair and enjoy the free show from talented artists. Tickets are not required.

In addition, the event will feature a free cruise night and patriotic car show. Bring your classic, custom, or patriotically decorated vehicle to receive prime parking as space allows. 

Plus vendors and entertainment inside the Maude Cobb Convention Center. Inside entertainment will include patriotic characters from Theatre Longview, a Princess Meet and Greet, a hot dog eating contest, barbecue eating contest, and ice cream eating contest. Registration for the eating contests will take place on the day of the event on a first come, first serve basis.

In partnership with the Longview VFW, a cornhole tournament will take place inside Maude Cobb beginning at 5:00 p.m., with doors opening at 4:00 p.m. Registration for the cornhole tournament is $60 per team and must be done utilizing the Scoreholio app available only on Apple or Android devices. 

The concert, fireworks, and parking are free.  Food and beverage will be available for purchase from vendors during the event. See the full schedule of events for more information.
