Q. What jobs are available with the City of Longview?

Q. How do I get an application?

Applications are only accepted online.  You may fill out an application on the City Website or at the Human Resources office, 140 E. Tyler St., Suite 400.

Q. What do I need to do for a typing test?
A.
To set up an appointment for a typing test, call our office at 903-237-1220 or go to the Workforce Solutions East Texas
(Texas Workforce Commission), 2430 S. High St., Suite A-1, Longview, TX.

Q. I have taken a typing test through a personnel service, will the City accept it?
A.
The only typing test that we will accept through an outside source is through the Workforce Solutions East Texas or through an employment agency.  All tests must be on official letterhead. 

Q. If I'm hired, how often would I get paid?
A.
City employees are paid every two weeks.

Q. What benefits does the City of Longview offer?
