It is a simple process to become a mentor. First, contact Partners in Prevention at 903-237-1019 to schedule an interview and register for training and receive an information packet. You will be scheduled to attend a 2-hour training. You will be asked to complete an application form, which will include information needed to conduct a criminal history background check. Once your criminal history is cleared, then you will be matched with a child in need of a mentor. Mentors are asked to attend three periodic update training sessions throughout the year.
