PAR Beat 30 and 40

Ben EasleyOfficer Ben Easley joined the Longview Police Department in July 2014. Before joining the Longview Police Department, Officer Easley graduated from Kilgore College and earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. Additionally, Officer Easley enlisted in the United States Army in 2006 and later earned a commission within the United States Army Reserves on completion of his Bachelor’s degree and the Reserve Officer Training Course at SFASU.


Officer Easley has served eight years as a patrol officer, serving as a Crime Scene Officer and Field Training Officer. Officer Easley has also earned an Advanced Peace Officer Certificate through TCOLE.

Officer Easley is the department's liaison with the community in the Beats 30 and 40 areas. His duties include the implementation of neighborhood improvement projects including Neighborhood Crime Watch and nuisance abatement. 

Officer Easley is responsible for supporting and aiding Beat supervisors within the Beat and administering the department's crime prevention programs while maintaining a partnership with other community organizations and agencies. Officer Easley promotes crime prevention by developing programs in support of the department's objectives that address the community's needs.

Officer Easley's mission is to provide professional policing to the City of Longview.
