Officer Kendric Montgomery joined the Longview Police Department in February 2012 and served in patrol for three years prior being chosen to be the Beat 60 Police Area Representative. Officer Montgomery holds an intermediate Peace Officers License, Field Training Officer Certification, Basic Swat Certification, Bike Patrol Certification and Crime Prevention Specialist Certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).
Officer Montgomery is the department’s liaison with the community in the Beat 60 area. His duties include the implementation of neighborhood improvement projects including Neighborhood Crime Watch and Nuisance Abatement. Officer Montgomery is responsible for supporting and aiding Beat supervisors within the Beat and administering the department’s crime prevention programs, while maintaining a partnership with other community organizations and agencies. Officer Montgomery promotes crime prevention by developing programs in support of the department’s objectives that addresses the community’s needs.
Officer Montgomery is a member of the Longview Police Department Bike Team, Swat Team, Police Academy Advisory Board, Department Awards Board and The Texas Crime Prevention Association.
