Annexation

The Planning and Zoning Division is responsible for carrying out annexations for the City of Longview. Annexation is a tool that will help provide, maintain and promote a healthy economic environment for quality residential, commercial and retail growth.

Current Annexation


The City of Longview City Council will hold two public hearings on a proposed annexation.  The first public hearing will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. and the second to be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at 5:30 p.m.  Both public hearings will be held in the Council Chambers of the Jo Ann Metcalf Municipal Building located at 300 W. Cotton Street, Longview, Texas.

The two public hearings will be held to consider a proposed annexation of approximately 40.648 acres of land bounded by Tryon Road and Hollybrook Drive and located north of East Loop 281 in Gregg County.
