Annexation

The Planning and Zoning Division is responsible for carrying out annexations for the City of Longview. Annexation is a tool that will help provide, maintain and promote a healthy economic environment for quality residential, commercial and retail growth.

Current Annexations


A18-03 E. Loop 281, north of Page Road Annexation 
The City of Longview City Council will hold two public hearings on a proposed annexation.  The first public hearing will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. and the second to be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 5:30 p.m.  Both public hearings will be held in the Council Chambers of the Jo Ann Metcalf Municipal Building located at 300 W. Cotton Street, Longview, Texas. 

The two public hearings will be held to consider a proposed annexation of approximately 7.307 acres of land located within the city's extraterritorial jurisdiction in Harrison County located at the north side of E. Loop 281, north of Page Road.
