eBooks & eAudiobooks

*** UPDATE NOTICE ***

As of February 23, Libby by Overdrive will start to replace the original Overdrive app we once offered.

Overdrive will no longer be available to download from online app stores (Google Play Store, Apple App Store, etc.).

But don’t worry, this doesn't mean that Overdrive eBook services are cancelled!

If you’ve never used Libby, it’s really the same thing as Overdrive!
Same checkout catalog.
Similar features/terms.
Same rules and checkout regulations.

The only fundamental difference is that Libby has a much simpler layout, navigation, and user interface!

If you have the original Overdrive app downloaded, it can still be used at this time.
Eventually it will phase out of use. We will let everyone know that timeframe when we get more news.

In the meantime, start getting familiar with Libby if you haven’t tried it yet!
Continue reading for more information and we'll post helpful tutorials soon.

If you want some extra help on how to navigate the app, please call (903) 237-1350 to set up a sit down appointment for additional pointers and walkthroughs using your device!

- A series of messages will appear next but you will tap on I’ll search for a library.
- Then you will search for our library (the best method is by typing in our zip code which is 75601) and select Northeast Texas Digital Consortium.
- The next message that appears will ask you to sign in. Tap the option that says Longview Public Library.
- Enter your full library card number with no spaces and tap Next. Enter your pin/password and tap Sign In.
