LEGOs @ the Library

LEGO blocks form a border, and words that say LEGO From Home Challenge

** Due to staff shortage and COVID-19 health guidelines, this program will be available virtually every week on Thursdays (starting September 10) via the Longview Public Library's private Facebook page: Longview Public Library Online Programs and Events.

Our famous LEGO builds at the library are currently unavailable, so we want you to show us what you can build from home!

Join us on Thursday at 2:00 PM on our private Facebook group page, as a new build theme is announced, a book is read aloud and the winners from the past week are revealed!

Create something original based on the theme (avoid pre-made kits!) and submit photos of your child's creation to the comments section of the video post.
Include the age of the child (name does not need to be included), and a title for their creation.
You'll have until 11:59 PM each Wednesday to get those posted before the next video.

Library staff will judge the submissions and choose a winner from three different age brackets:
• Ages 1 - 5
• Ages 6 - 8
• Ages 9 - 12

Winners can't be duplicated or picked twice in a row, but please continue to show us your LEGO skills!
If selected, then you'll be contacted to come pick up your prize bundle during operation hours, or via Curbside Pickup (Mon - Fri, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Younger children are allowed to use DUPLO (or other safety style) blocks to build.

Videos will remain available for viewing for as long as publishers allow or you can watch live at 2:00 PM on Thursdays!

Please call (903) 237-1345 if you have any questions!
