Cart placement is actually quite simple. Place your carts out by 7:30 a.m. of your collection day. The handles should be facing your house. Carts should be placed with the wheels at the curb whenever possible. Some areas are not safe or practical for curb placement. In these areas you can place your cart up off the road, no more than ten (10) feet back.
The last thing to remember is the four (4) foot rule: place your carts 4 feet from any obstacles like vehicles, mailboxes, and other carts. This will ensure a much faster collection time. Below is a simple graphic showing the 4 foot rule.
Blocked or improperly placed carts will not be serviced.
