Arrest Warrants

Arrest warrants are issued by the Municipal Court Judge.  These are warrants for Class C Misdemeanor offenses which are punishable by fine only.  The offenses range from traffic violations to penal code violations, educational code violations, and city ordinance violations.

The Municipal Court Judge issues a warrant for defendants who do not comply with making an initial appearance to answer the charge filed against them, do not appear for an assigned court date or who are in non-compliance of a court order.   A $50.00 warrant fee is added to the balance of each case when an arrest warrant is issued.

Cases still outstanding on the 61st day after a warrant is issued are sent to collections and a 30% collections fee is added to the balance due for each case.  Cases still outstanding after the 121st day after a warrant is issued are sent to Omnibase and an additional $30.00 Omnibase fee is added to the balance of each case.
