The Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center holds stray animals for 72 hours to allow owners a chance to find their lost pets. If the animal is not claimed in that time period, it becomes the property of the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center, and may be made available for adoption any time after the stray hold period.
Lost and found reports are kept on file for approximately 30 days and are not returned to the reporting party. The shelter is not responsible for any photographs or other items attached to the report. Thank you for your effort to help an animal in need.
PLEASE NOTE: Lost Pet Reports submitted are reviewed in the morning and as time allows. All Lost Pet Reports that are submitted will be printed and placed in our Lost Pet Book at the shelter. Owner must provide proof of ownership upon redemption of their pet. There are fees associated with reclaiming your pet.
