For large items or bulky yard waste, the City of Longview offers a service called Bulky Item Pick-up, to all residential customers up to four times a year. Collection or an extra trash pick-up can be requested by calling 903-237-1250 or by using the CitySend app. See the Landfill section for more information about other large and bulky item disposal options.
Items that can be collected as part of Bulky Item Service at no additional charge, up to a total of four loads per twelve months:
- Furniture
- Lawn Equipment (mowers, weed eaters)
- Brush (Please note: Bulky Item Service is restricted to large branches between 3 ft - 10 ft in length. Branches less than 3 ft in length should be bundled for regular garbage collection.)
Items that can be collected for an additional fee:
- Appliances (washers, dryers, stoves, etc.)
- Construction Materials
- Carpet
- Demolition Waste
- Mattresses
Please place all bulky items parallel to the road for collection. There is an eight (8) cubic yard limit per pick-up, which is about two small pickup truck loads. Additional waste can be collected for a nominal fee.
