Who Are The Friends of the Longview Public Library?

They are a non-profit organization established to support the programs and services of the Longview Public Library.

What Do The Friends Do?

The Friends encourage the love of books for a lifetime of reading pleasure. They believe active learning is a process of discovery, which helps inspire imagination and creativity in our wonderful community. Specifically, they assist with funding, promoting, and volunteering at the Library’s various activities, including events such as: Book Fairs, Author Visits, Chautauqua Festival, Haunted Library, Summer Reading Club, and so much more! They also help the Library purchase current, modern technology, allowing us to offer our patrons the very best services possible.

How Do I Join The Friends?

The Friends would absolutely love to have you! Simply fill out a membership application at the Longview Public Library and give it and the appropriate check (see membership pricing options below) to one of our friendly librarians.
