Special Bond Election

The City of Longview has called a bond election to be held Tuesday, November 6, 2018. The bond election will be considered by voters in three separate propositions: Public Safety Facilities, Streets, and Parks. Check here for detailed information on the bond propositions.   Voting will take place in conjunction with the regularly scheduled November election in Gregg and Harrison Counties. Gregg County residents may vote at any polling location in Gregg County. Harrison County residents may vote at any polling location in Harrison County. Check below for more election information.

Voter Registration

The last day for a person who is not registered to vote to register to vote and be eligible to vote in this election is Oct. 9, 2018. Please see the links below regarding State of Texas requirements for Voter ID.

  • Monday, October 22, 2018 - First Day of Early Voting
  • Friday, October 26, 2018 - Last day to Apply for Ballot by Mail using Application (Received in office, Not Postmarked)

  • Tuesday, November 6, 2018 - Last Day to Receive Ballot by Mail Ballot (Received in office, Not Postmarked)

Special Bond Election results will be posted on LongviewTexas.gov and CityView Municipal Television after all ballots are tabulated.  (usually 8 - 9 p.m.)
