2020 General Election
Information and Candidate FilingThe regularly scheduled 2020 General Election will be held November 3, 2020 for City Council District 3. It was postponed by the Longview City Council on Monday, March 23 following the recommendations of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to avoid public gatherings due to the threat of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The District 4 election was canceled by the City Council on Thursday, Feb. 27 after only one candidate, incumbent Councilwoman Kristen Ishihara, filed to run. Ishihara will serve another three-year term expiring May 2023.
Early Voting:Early voting will be held Oct. 19 - 30. This election is being held in conjunction with the county, state, and federal elections. More information on Early Voting polling places and times will be posted as determined.
Election Day voting will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020 from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. at your designated polling place.
