The City of Longview is committed to government transparency, including open governance, citizen participation, clear communication, and financial transparency. As such, the City of Longview actively seeks to provide information to the public about city government and opportunities for citizens to participate in public meetings.
The City of Longview offers a variety of ways for citizens to stay informed. Residents are encouraged to attend public meetings, which are posted online in the Public Notice and Agenda Center at least 72 hours in advance. Residents can also sign up through Notify Me to receive email or text notifications of public meeting postings, news, or calendar events. City Council meetings, Planning and Zoning meetings, and a variety of shows are available to view through Cityview Municipal Television on Longview Cable or online.
