Physical Encounters are a part of everyday police work. Officers need to be prepared to defend themselves from violent attackers and should be able to control suspects during encounters. This Defensive Tactics Course will give officers the necessary tools to defend themselves in violent encounters. 

This course will include instruction in advanced use of baton, OC spray, and hands-on tactics. This course will also include skills in the Gracie Survival Tactics training. This course if for certified Peace Officers only. Students should be prepared for physical exertion and be able to perform varying styles of moderate physical activities during the course of instruction. Students should be prior qualified with expandable baton and OC spray. 

Students will need to wear 5.11/tactical pants or suitable comfortable-style clothing, running shoes, t-shirt, etc. STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BRING their duty belt gear with baton and OC Spray, as well as plenty of water or other form of hydration and snacks.
