Children will be able to ride either their own bikes or safety city bikes through the campus. Free helmets will be given out while supplies.
Longview Safety City is asking for a minimum donation of $3 per child. The funds raised during this event will go towards maintenance and improvements within Safety City.There will also be a drawing held at the end of the event for two 10 inch bikes; one boy and one girl. “This is going to be a great opportunity for the children in Longview, especially those who may have not had a chance to come to Safety City before.” Says Fire Education Specialist and Safety City Board Member Iesha Robinson. The Safety City board members are asking that each child have adult supervision is present to help children who may need assistance while riding their bikes. They also advising that the adults bring water for the children to drink in anticipation of the weather conditions that morning.
