Adult Crafts is teaming up with our Technical Service Librarian, Leah, to bring you The Upcycle Project!
This session will be all about how you can use t-shirts and other fabric/textile items to make different crafts.
Here’s what we’ll be doing, and what supplies you’ll need:
No-Sew T-shirt Bag
- T-shirt of choice (the larger the shirt, the bigger the bag)

- Socks. Tall socks generally work best, and you’ll be able to get two small pumpkins from them.
- Branches/twigs to use as stem
Toilet Paper Pumpkins
- Any fabric textile of choice (t-shirt, old blouse/shirt, pillowcase, etc).
You want to get an 18" square worth of material.
- Branches/twigs to use as stem
Optional:
- Roll of toilet paper & and 10-15 grocery store bags
- Embroidery Thread to match/contrast your pumpkin
Sewn & Gathered Pumpkin
- Any fabric textile of choice (t-shirt, old blouse/shirt, pillowcase, etc).
You want enough to make a rectangle 10" x 20" (or a smaller 1:2 ratios worth, 5" x 10", 7" x 14") worth of material.
