[ARCHIVED] Residential Structure Fire

On Feb. 7 at approximately 1:40 a.m. the Longview Fire Department responded to 707 E. Birdsong St. for a reported structure fire.  LFD crews arrived and reported smoke and fire visible from the street.  It took firefighters about 15 minutes to get the fire under control.  It was reported that there were six occupants at home at the time of the fire, and all occupants escaped without injury.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.  The Red Cross was notified to assist with the six occupants who are displaced because of the fire.

The Longview Fire Department responded with three fire engines, two ladder trucks, one ambulance and four support vehicles for a total of 21 personnel.
