In 2019, more than 1,800 animals were adopted from the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center. Additionally, 1,119 animals were rescued, and 431 animals were returned to their owners.
The efforts of the staff at the Animal Care and Adoption Center led to a 96 percent live release rate for healthy, adoptable animals.
The residents of Longview also stepped up in a major way to support the facility in 2019.
Nearly 90 active volunteers logged more than 4,100 hours of volunteer service for the shelter. Additionally, Longview PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) a nonprofit organization supporting the center, raised more than $96,000 for the facility.
