City Offices Closed for Independence Day

Offices Closed

City of Longview offices will be closed Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.  All city offices will resume regular business hours Monday, July 6.

Sanitation services will be unaffected.  The Compost Facility will be closed Saturday, July 4, and will reopen Tuesday, July 7. 

The Longview Public Library will be closed Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5. Book drops and curbside pick-up will also be closed. The library will resume normal business hours Monday, July 6.  

Broughton Recreation Center, Paula Martin Jones Recreation Center, and all other Parks buildings will be closed Saturday, July 4 and reopen Monday, July 6. The Longview Swim Center, Ingram Pool, and all splash pads will be open July 3 through July 5 with modified hours. Green Street Recreation Center will continue to remain closed until further notice.  Parks offices will be closed Friday, July 3.

The Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center will be closed Friday, July 3, but will be open on Saturday, July 4.

Longview Transit, will have no service Saturday, July 4. Transit offices will be closed Friday, July 3. Regular transportation service will resume Monday, July 6.

A drive-in community fireworks show presented by Jucys Hamburgers, T. Blanco’s and Jucys Taco will be held at the Longview Convention Complex at 100 Grand Blvd.  Gates will open at 7 p.m., and the fireworks will commence about 9:30 p.m.  For more information about the fireworks show or online, virtual events scheduled for July 4 please visit LongviewTexas.gov/Fireworks.

During the holiday, residents may report a water or sewer emergency by calling 903-236-3030.
