On Sept. 27, 2020 at about 1:55 p.m. the Longview Fire Department responded to 4311 Hiltzman St. for a reported residential structure fire. When crews arrived they found heavy fire conditions coming from a mobile home. The fire was extinguished without any reported injuries. According to the resident, he had been in the process of heating up cooking oil when it caught fire. The Red Cross was notified to assist with the three residents who were displaced due to the fire. The mobile home is considered to be a total loss.
The Longview Fire Department responded with 3 fire engines, 2 ladder trucks, 1 ambulance and 4 support vehicles for a total of 21 personnel.
