Longview resident’s monthly sewer rates are based on average household water use during the months of November, December and January (as billed in December, January and February).
Unlike the water service, a resident’s sewer water (the wastewater discharged from your home to the sewer treatment plant) is not metered. Rather it is based on household water use during the winter months of November, December and January, when less water is typically used.
As such, water leaks in November, December, or January can impact monthly sewer charges for the following year? Please report any leaks experienced during those months to Water Utilities by May to be eligible for a possible billing adjustment.
