Meet us at the Longview Arboretum for an outdoor performer show every Wednesday throughout Summer Reading Club!
This week’s special guest: The Silver Paws Therapy Animals
Silver Paws' group of specially trained and certified therapy animal teams work together with local facilities and non-profits to provide a safe, professional, and high quality therapy animal interaction for the benefit of individuals of all ages.
They often work within schools and education environments to provide animal assisted activity.
Plus, they let kids read to the animals to help improve their skills. Often times this can help a struggling or reluctant reader because the animals are nonjudgemental and provide a comforting presence!
Silver Paws and their animals will join us on June 30, at 10:30 AM.
Stop by to meet them and maybe read a few words of a story to them!
• This is an IN-PERSON EVENT.
• Dress cool, and bring water!
• Bring portable chairs, blankets for seating (there isn't designated seating at the arboretum amphitheater).
• Bring cordless/hand fans, and hand umbrellas to help beat the heat!
You’re welcome to park at the arboretum’s main entrance and walk to the amphitheater, but we recommend you enter through the Longview Convention Complex’s west gate entrance for a shorter trek.
Yard signs will be posted to follow, but it will be like you’re heading to Maude Cobb where we’ve hosted past SRC events.
Please call (903) 237-1345 for any questions or message us on here.
