The Library and all our friends around Longview are partnering with the Longview Symphony Orchestra to celebrate Harry Potter!
You might have already joined in on some fun events last month, but now it’s our turn to cast a few spells on you...for you!
- Story Time w/ Hagrid and Hermione: “Yer a wizard Harry...” We have a magical Story Time planned with two very special guests flying in from Hogwarts! Hagrid the giant, and Hermione Granger will read the first chapter of “Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone” and “The Tale of Three Brothers” to get us in the Harry Potter spirit.A special Hogwarts craft will be available for kids to work on afterward, and butterbeer will be served as a drink refreshment. Free to attend, family fun for all.
August 10, starts at 10:30 AM. This event has been moved to the Longview Arboretum, 706 W. Cotton St.
- Potions Class Drink Brewing: All week long, watch our Instagram (@longviewpubliclibrary) for video Reels on how to brew up enchanting, delicious mocktail drinks inspired by the Harry Potter world!
Adults can even spike their potions with a magical twist to enjoy!
- Hogwarts LEGOs Build: RESCHEDULED
All events will lead up to the Longview Symphony’s concert: The Magic of Harry Potter, on Saturday, August 14 at 7:00 PM.
