On Oct. 6, 2021 at about 9:40 a.m. the Longview Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure fire at 306 Morris Drive. When crews arrived they found smoke coming from the residence with all occupants standing outside. Upon making entry into the structure the fire department found a small fire on the stove from a pan of grease. Occupant states she had put a pan of grease on the stove and then fell asleep. There were no reported injuries and the family was not displaced.
The Longview Fire Department responded with three fire engines, two ladder trucks, one ambulance and four support vehicles.
