A school bus has stopped: What do I do?

Texas State law requires that drivers stop when a school bus is operating a visual signal-either red flashing lights or extended stop arm (TRC 545.066).

However, many Texas drivers are uncertain as to when they need to stop for a school bus.

Here are a few guidelines to reduce driver confusion, thus providing a safer environment for our children.
