On November 5, 2015 at 4:58 p.m., Longview Police responded to the 700 Block of Hwy 31 for suspicious activity at one of the rooms of the motel. During the investigation officers located several suspects believed to be involved in passing counterfeit money in throughout Gregg County, Texas, including Longview. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the location and located over $5000.00 in counterfeit currency, numerous fake ID's, stolen driver's licenses, counterfeit checks, and stolen credit cards. Officer's also located computer equipment used in the production of such counterfeit money and other counterfeit products such as fake ID's and checks. Three people arrested at the scene.
Marcilin Allenon Smith 44, of Longview, for Theft of Property >=$1,500<$20K warrant, Forgery of Govt Instrument or Security, Fail to ID Fugitive Intent Give False Information, and a Texas Parole Board Blue warrant.
Jeremy Michael Norton 35, of Hallsville, was arrested for Fail to ID Fugitive Intent Give False Information and Forgery warrant.
Buffy Renee Driggers Norton 34, of Hallsville, was arrested for Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information <5 and Fail to ID Fugitive Intent Give False Information.
All three suspects were transported to the Gregg County Jail without incident.
