On Feb. 19, 2022 at about 12:55 a.m. the Longview Fire Department responded to 1112 Clover Lane for a reported structure fire. When crews arrived, they found the 800 square foot house approximately 50% involved in fire, and the fire had already burned through the roof. Crews were able to gain control of the fire in about ten minutes. The cause of the fire is being contributed to an overloaded electrical outlet located behind the refrigerator. Both occupants had been next door visiting neighbors for about three hours at the time of the fire. They are being assisted by the American Red Cross. There were no reported injuries.
The Longview Fire Department responded with 3 fire engines, 2 ladder trucks, 1 ambulance and 4 support vehicles for a total of 21 personnel.
