[ARCHIVED] Indie Author Day

Indie Author Day at the Longview Public Library

Indie Author Day is coming back to the Longview Public Library on November 5, 2022.

Meet us for a full day of all things local authors and indie writing/publishing.

Whether you’re looking for something good to read, or maybe working on a future novel to grace the library shelves, you won’t want to miss this!

Event runs from 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM.

You can choose to meet us here in person, or watch on FB Live through the library’s Facebook page.

Here’s what our schedule of events includes:

- We’ll start with two special workshop presentations.

One on the Creative Writing Process from Aaron Brown.

The other from local authors, photographers, and radio contributors, Gary Borders and Rufus Lovett, and the collaborative efforts that help produced the commemorative @longviewtx150 Sesquicentennial book.

- Then we will have a diverse lineup for our Author Panel speak about their writing/publishing experiences and answer any questions.

Panel includes:

- Mykayla Fontaine
- Erasmo Rivera
- Gary Borders
- Rufus Lovett
- Jody Hadlock
- Joseph Gage

Finally, we’ll include a special book spotlight presentation of local author books and writing/publishing aids in our collection.

Also, there will be prize giveaways throughout the event for attendants!

So plan to come in, or leave comments/questions for us online so we can include you in the drawing!

More details and author spotlights will come soon.

Please mark your calendars and share this with friends and family!
