Downtown Longview Wine Swirl Returns April 22

Wine Swirl

Downtown Longview will host its third Wine Swirl on Fredonia Street from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 22. This event invites wineries from all over Texas to sell tastings, glasses and bottles to all wine lovers in the community. The event will also host artisan vendors, food trucks and live musical performances from Kaitlin McCullin and The Wild J. Brown.

This event will be free for the public to enter. There will be a $10 ticket to get into the winery area, and the wineries will charge $1 per tasting.

In previous years the event was held on Tyler Street in early June. However, this year the event will be held in early spring and the bulk of the event will be on North Fredonia Street.

“We have worked with a couple of the local wineries to improve this event. Shrinking the size of the event and changing the ticket structure were just a couple of the ideas we came up with. We received great feedback from the people who attended the event last year, but I believe these changes will take make it even better,” said Nickolas Mayfield, Main Street Coordinator for the Downtown Longview Board.

The Downtown Longview Board manages all proceeds from the Wine Swirl. Through past fundraising efforts, the board has been able to make major improvements to Heritage Plaza including constructing a great stage for our performers, upgrading electrical infrastructure and buying a giant Christmas tree for our community to enjoy for years to come.

Tickets and more information can be found at VisitLongviewTexas.com/WineSwirl.
