The City of Longview Partners in Prevention is accepting registrations for the upcoming “Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin’ by World” weekly sessions. Getting Ahead is designed for adults living in poverty, or with limited resources, that are striving to build economic stability. There is no charge to participate in the 20 weekly sessions. Getting Ahead materials, childcare, and a meal at each weekly session is provided.
Phil DeVol, the author of Getting Ahead, states, “Thousands of people have already used this learning experience to take charge of their future. Many Getting Ahead graduates have stabilized their lives and built their financial, educational, and social resources as a result of the investigations sparked from this workbook.”

Getting Ahead sessions will meet in Longview on Tuesdays from 6 – 8 p.m. Sessions are tentatively scheduled to begin mid-August. Please call 903-237-1019 for more information or to register.
