[ARCHIVED] Veterans Tribute Celebration and Dedication of the Vietnam Wall

Please attend a celebration and Vietnam Wall Dedication at noon on Nov. 5, 2016 at Teague Park, 1234 East Park Lane, Longview, Texas.

Activities are scheduled to begin at noon with free refreshments, band concerts by local high school bands, and open mike comments by veterans and the public. The formal ceremony will open with a B-52 bomber fly-over at 2:00 pm. Invited guest speakers include: Longview Mayor Andy Mack, Gregg County Judge Bill Stoudt, United States Congressman Louie Gohmert, and Texas Governor Gregg Abbott.

The Veterans Plaza is located in Teague Park off Highway 80, three blocks east of Good Shepherd Hospital. Turn South on Teague Street (between the Pawn Shop and Just A Dollar Store) and there will be signs and parking assistance immediately after turning. Do not use the on-line directions to the American Legion Street entrance. You will have a long walk all the way through the park. The Veterans Plaza is fully ADA accessible with reserved parking east of the park on East Park Lane. If you are using a wheel chair please notify the parking assistance, and you will be directed to that parking lot. Other disabled plates and placards will be directed to front row parking, located less than 100 feet from the Plaza entrance.
