The East Texas Anti-Trafficking Teams is proud to host Domestic Minor Sex Trafficing: America's Hidden Slavery with presenter, Lindsey Speed, Director of Programs for Traffick 911. This workshop takes place December 1, 2016 from 9 a.m. to noon at Maude Cobb Activity & Convention Center, 100 Grand Blvd., Longview, Texas.
Lindsey has been involved in the fight against human trafficking with Traffick 911 since 2010. She currently serves as Director Programs for Traffick 911, over-seeing all prevention, identifica-tion and empowerment initiatives for the agency. Lindsey speaks across Texas to first responders, everyday citizens and youth on the issue and has the unique opportunity to work very closely with victims and their families.
Lindsey is on the executive committee of the North Texas Coalition Against Human Trafficking and is also a member of the Crime Victims Council of Dallas County. She represents Traffick 911 on the Texas Attor-ney General's Human Trafficking Task Force and is on the core team of CEASE Network Dallas (Cities Empowered Against Sexual Exploitation). Lindsey holds a bachelors of science from Texas A&M University.
Continuing Education Units will be offered to Continuing Medical Education, Continuing Nursing Education, Social Workers, Certified Health Educations Specialists, and Licensed Professional Counselors. The Texas Department of State Health Services, Continuing Education Service has designated 2.75 hours for attendance.
