The Longview Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is soliciting responses to this request for qualifications. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the Longview MPO performs the travel demand forecast for the Longview urbanized area using a traditional four-step model. The trip generation model, TransCAD, requires population, number of households, average household size, median household income, and employment for the base year and the forecast years as inputs for each Traffic Analysis Zone (TAZ). The Longview MPO is seeking a qualified consulting firm to assist in conducting the necessary data collection and analysis to develop this data for the 2018 base year model validation and the 2023, 2028, 2033 and 2050 forecasts.
