Sealed proposals addressed to Rolin McPhee, P.E., Director of Public
Works, City of Longview, Texas, Public Works Service Center, 933 Mobile
Drive, Longview, Texas, 75604, will be received until 2:00 p.m.,
Thursday, December 17, 2015 for furnishing all labor, materials,
equipment, supplies, and supervision necessary for the construction of
“2015 CDBG Lake Drive Improvements” consisting of water, sewer and
street improvements on Lake Drive, in accordance with the specifications
on file at engineer’s office. At the time stated, bids will be opened
and publicly read in the Public Works Training Room of the Public Works
Service Center, 933 Mobile Drive, Longview, Texas 75604.
Plans and specifications may be obtained only through the CivCast Website. At the CivCast Website, click on "Browse Bids" then type "Longview" in the top search bar.
Plans and specifications may be examined without charge at both the CivCast Website and the office of Hayes Engineering, Inc., 903-758-2010.
Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to
condition of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be
paid under the contract. This project is to be 100% financed by HUD
through the Community Development Block Grant Program.
The Owner strongly encourages the participation of minority business
enterprises in all contracts or procurements let by City of Longview for
goods and services. To that end, all contractors and suppliers are
encouraged to utilize minority business enterprises in the purchase or
subcontracting of materials, supplies and services in which
minority-owned businesses are available.
